Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data BeOutthere.eu collects, why, and the rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). BeOutthere.eu is the data controller.

What we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (stored hashed), role and login times.
• Freelancer profile: headline, bio, location, sports, experience, certifications, languages, day rate, availability, and any CV, photo or video you upload.
• Company data: company name, description, website, contact email, logo and the jobs you post.
• Activity: applications and their status, saved jobs, saved searches, messages, reviews and reports.
• Technical data: IP address and browser information in security logs and error reports.
• Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

Why we use it (legal basis)

• To run your account and the job board, and to pass your application to the company you apply to: performance of a contract.
• To keep the site secure, prevent fraud and fix errors: legitimate interests.
• To send job alerts you asked for: consent, which you can withdraw at any time from the alert itself.
• To keep invoices and payment records: legal obligation.

Who sees your data

• Companies see the profile and note of freelancers who apply to their jobs. Freelancer profiles with a headline are listed in the public instructor directory.
• Service providers who process data for us: hosting, email delivery and Stripe for payments.
• Map tiles are loaded from OpenStreetMap, which receives your IP address when a map is shown.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use advertising trackers.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile, applications, messages and saved data are deleted straight away. Error logs are kept for up to 90 days and payment records for as long as tax law requires.

Your rights

You can access, correct, export and delete your data at any time from Account & privacy. You can also object to processing, ask us to restrict it, or complain to your national data protection authority. Contact us at privacy@beoutthere.eu.
