Big, snow-sure terrain and one of the oldest ski schools in the world. A classic first season for ski instructors.
Why work here
The Arlberg ski area is huge and reliably snowy. Ski schools here run large teams of instructors teaching guests from around the world, so there are many entry-level roles as well as off-piste guiding.
Finding work
Schools hire from late summer for the winter. Many run their own training courses before Christmas, so newly qualified instructors can join. Basic German is a big advantage.
Living there
Many employers offer staff accommodation, which is worth asking about because rents in the village are high. Trains to Innsbruck and Zurich stop in St. Anton.
